Wally T. Young grew up in Metro Detroit and has a degree in Audio Production from Full Sail University. During Wally’s life he has been involved with many large and small scale projects that included working in recording studios to running Audio, Video, and Lights for live events and currently is the Audio Visual Director for two Full Service Hotels in FL.
Growing up Wally always enjoyed writing stories and exploring his imagination, as a matter of fact one story he wrote in 8th grade helped with extra credit he needed to pass a literature class. During his youth he used to shoot silent 8-millimeter films using stop action with everything from plastic army men to action figures. Sadly, those films were lost in a house flood. As for starting to write as an adult Wally first became involved after purchasing a Quad Runner ATV and while discussing with his wife one evening he said, “Just think if one army in WWII had that machine. It would have changed the face of the battlefield.” This led to a six book alternate history series and some short stories that he self-published on Amazon.
Wally has recently authored another book completely different from his prior writings and with the first reviews from beat readers has found this one to be an entirely different beast and feels it is worthy of traditional publishing. This has sent him on a path to find a Literary Agent!
Wish me Luck!
Wally
Wally met his wife in Kindergarten but she moved away and they didn't cross paths again until the mid 80's. After being close friends and dating others they finally ended up together in 1995 and married in 1999. They have two young boys who are now young men who are now beginning their own lives. Big fans of critters they have two rescued dogs and enjoy feeding the wild lizards on their deck on Florida’s space coast. They love cruises and the above picture is from their favorite destination Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.
Side Note; His wife Debbie created his book series covers! Great Job!
As mentioned above w know what started me on this path and the above picture is the Quad Runner!
My approach to writing is I want the reader to use their imagination. I am not overly descriptive. Example, I will tell you they are wearing a red Botton down shit. Unless it pertains to the scene I don't tell you if it has a pocket, or if it is bright red or dark red, tucked in or not. I let the reader imagine their character. These are the book I like to read so this is what I give in return. I also like to toss in some real life fun and camaraderie to my characters. After all they are human.
